How can You bloom sae Fresh and Fair

It's not the River Doon, but It is the River Ayr, and Burns was such a man, I do expect that at some point in his life, he wandered this brig, and glanced over at Arran.

He never, (as far as is known) ever visited Arran, or anywhere outside Scotland.  Edinburgh, Kilmarnock, Mauchlin, and finally Dumfries.   He was pretty damn well-read for not having travelled much eh   He did have a lot of sex though.

So we went to Ayr today, because there was a Farmers Market.  You know how much I love a farmers Market.    This one had lovely Pies, but also the lovely Chilli Jam and oatcake lady whom we met in Dumfries House.

We bought, pies, cake, balsamic vinegars, and oat cakes very, very lovely.

The market was situated in a newly established "community space".   Where  Woolworth and The Forum Centre used to be.   Its very nice, but it is a shame that the rest of Ayr is going down hill rapidly.

We wandered down through New Market street, which was pretty full of shops, but all different shops from the last time we were there.

I had a clunky ankle moment and had to cling to Si for a couple of minutes til it snapped back into place.

We slowly made our way back to the car,  and stopped off at Sainsbury for our weekly shop.    There was a lady in the car in front waiting to turn right into the carpark - she wouldn't move forward, and she wouldn't turn as the light changed red.   We sat for three changes of lights, before she moved, and this time, she moved left, out of the line of traffic

It's a nice shop - we had a good rummage, and then on the drive home - we went via the town which was nice and busy today, and remembered that there was a firework display tonight, on the beach.

There must have been about 500 no parking signs out ; barriers and tape. . We won't be venturing out  I've walked enough on the wonky ankle today,  we have just considered that we  might put up the drone to capture a bit of it.

A nice day
