Seeds
Safely back in my own bed last night and had a wonderful full 8 hr sleep!
The day has passed easily - coffee early on with the 'usual gang'; quick pop into Terri with a book - Anne Cleeves's second book set in North Devon which I enjoyed - and then off to stock up my very empty fridge.
At home I had a wonderful three quarter hour natter to son Simon in Spain on WhatsApp and a pleasant chat with Jack who was busy eating his lunch! Simon is still battling with the after effects of the flood they had in August and even more so with a rogue builder who was meant to be putting insulation in the roof but it seems to have gone pear shaped! They are left with no tiles and no workmen so he will be going to court to get his money back - another time consuming and unnecessary thing to happen, esp as the workman was recommended by both the tile company and several friends.......but it appears he has become rather reliant on drugs - very sad, but no good for Simon - and is running his father's company into the ground - his father having retired.
Blip is of the seeds of my Calla Lily, which is going to sleep now for the winter, but having produced these beauties, I wonder if it will wake up or rely on them to give new flowers?!
