Where in the world?

I haven’t made a Christmas Cake for a number of years, but suddenly decided to do so this year. (I had of course the dilemma - Delia or Mary Berry - I have gone with the latter.)

I know I’m a bit late, but here at last are the fruits soaking in brandy ready for making the cake tomorrow.

I was intrigued to find where all the fruits came from:

Mixed peel - Italy
Glacé cherries - France
Raisins - South Africa
Sultanas - Turkey
Apricots - Turkey
I think currants come from Greece

Tomorrow I shall add almonds from the USA and Nutmeg from Indonesia. I wonder what else. At least the eggs will be British!
