A day out

We drove up to Newby Bridge and went for a lovely walk along Windernere Way. 

We were in just the right place to get a good view of one of the steam trains passing by. 
There were a lot of carriages as it was half term.  Good to see it was full..I always enjoyed travelling by train....its a.long time since I was.on one...steam.or otherwise.

Back at Newby Bridge we met our friend John and went into the Swan  for.lunch. We put in our order but the large group.of people.sat alongside us we.so loud, (.Good to see they were happy but their raucous laughter drowned out our conversation.. ) 
Luckily another table became .free so we.moved to a quieter area. 
Good to meet up with J.
