Golden

Most days lately, I struggled to find anything to blip, it was so grey, wet and generally unpleasant. 
Today, I struggled to decide which of several photos to post. 

If the weather forecast is right, the few hours of calm, sunshine and blue sky we had this afternoon will be a rare exception, and it will rain pretty much constantly from tomorrow for at least a week. So I finished work early and went for a walk. 

The vineyards and orchards were beautiful, and I took a lot more pictures than I finally decided to blip. And when I walked home, the cranes came. I guess they know about the coming bad weather, and are trying to get as far south as they can before the next storm hits.

There were thousands, and as always, the phone camera is woefully inadequate for this spectacle. After I got home, another few huge flocks flew over our house, and I took dozens more photos with my camera. But as it was already getting dark, most of the photos turned out to be blurry.

I was still left with more than enough options for a blip and extras, and I hope you enjoy the impressions of this rare golden November afternoon.
