Avoch Parish church
Backblip
This beautiful stained glass window is one of a few found in Avoch Parish church. Like many Church of Scotland buildings the last service will be next Sunday and then it will be closing.
Today there was an open day so we went along before the doors are closed forever.
It does feel sad , so many people christened, married and buried here. We were chatting to some of the Parishioners who had wonderful stories to tell.
The services will now be held in Rosemarkie along with Fortrose and Cromarty who have also lost their churches.
We went along to the craft fair in Strathpeffer. Some lovely things. We bought some pickle for Christmas and also a fabric picture of Chanonry Point, she gave us a Christmas tree we had chosen for nothing :)
Afterwards we took David home.
