Beauty and the Beast

The beast of course being the hideous 70s monstrosity that is County Hall, Norwich, seen from the beauty that is the grounds in which it stands. It's a grim place to work in. It seems to be universally hated by all who work there. It's deteriorating badly and rather than replace it a huge sum is being spent on renovations. The building is apparently one of the only remaining ones designed by the architect in question, who died a few years ago, so there are plans to make it listed. I can't comprehend why anyone in their right mind would want to list such an ugly eyesore. Still, beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder .....
