Awake to the sound of swooshing cars in the wet; I knew Loki and I were in for a dull morning.
It got to 10 before I donned jackets and took him out for a quick turn around the park; he managed to get muddy and wet in pretty much equal measure; but the happiness was there in abundance too.
And so we plodded on some more; brightness accompanied the lunch hour so we took full advantage and trekked as far and as fast as we could to get maximum miles in.
Then home to continue the toil - it really has been a few weeks of writing a To Do list, completing it by the end of the day, but still having more work to do than when I started. Today was no exception.
Needless to say by the time I logged off, the drizzle was back and when we emerged from the Water of Leith path at Canonmills to board a 27, I was faintly dismayed to see the pup was covered in mud.
I shoved him through the door at Her's and made my excuses and headed off to fetch Alex from Spartans before fajitas were the last meaningful act of the day.
Proof that scarey things appear in the dark on nights other than Halloween.
