Sunny morning (Day 3097)

Up and out early to collect a load of stuff from suppliers in town, then off to Twatt to get.on with the job. I spent a while cleaning and prepping the lovely old flagstone floor and removing the toilet. Then, with a heavy heart, I mixed and poured self levelling compound over the floor. Such a shame, but the customer is always right.
While waiting for the screed to dry, I lagged the pipes I put in the loft yesterday and put all the insulation back in place properly. The van got a bit of a tidy, out and I had a leisurely lunch.
I checked on the screed, thinking it would be ready to walk on, but it was far from dry. The bathroom was just too cold and it was late afternoon before I could get the toilet re-fitted.
Back home my beautiful wife had interesting news to impart.
