Gladsome sight

The BBC arrived about half eleven to film the flood and we were in mid rehearsal with camera rolling when Essex Highways turned up. After the usual disclaimers (this is a local authority issue, we should clean from the other end but our hose isn’t long enough and I don’t like working with the media here) the crew set to work, a hearty suck and a good blow and the drain was running free and the water receded in a few minutes.
Whole thing done in less than half an hour. Shame it took over two years and three flood events to get them out.
Anyway feeling a lot more comfortable now.
