The End of the Line
Glorious morning on the water with my dear friend, outdoorguy...he is the spot of red you can see in the kayak in front of me.
The current was strong and there were lots of branches to navigate...the last one stopped us as it was across the entire channel.
We saw wonderful things; a swan family with four cygnets, painted turtles galore, snapping turtles that were huge, a king bird, red wing blackbirds, and a kingfisher that teased us flitting back and forth. But these will have to remain mental images as Tim didn't bring his camera and I put mine back in the car as we went by the first time when it felt like I might dump the kayak in the bigger lake.
A nice lunch together, then home to spend the afternoon with my sister-in-law who is suffering some severe health problems...
Tonight, dinner and cards with family, then our son and grandchildren will join us for the Father's Day week-end.
I'm finding less and less time to spend on my computer...I love hearing from everyone but I feel terrible not being able to respond....I know every one has times like this, but I will have children as guests for most of the summer, and they need their granny more than I need the computer.
I hope to still have time to look and send stars and hearts, even if there aren't many comments!
