A horse...

...with a history.
When I was a wee girl, every New Year's Day, my parents would bundle me and my big brother in our pale blue Vauxhall Viva and drive to Kilsyth.
It seemed a long way from our home village in Ayrshire.
I always felt car sick. Often before we even set off...
Kilsyth seemed a long way away.
When we passed this horse, in a graveyard on the outskirts of Bishopbriggs, my brother would yell out in excitement because it meant we were nearly there.
Today, I live quite close to the horse and every time I drive past it I smile to myself at the memory.
Tonight, I asked my daughter's friend to wind down the window and take a picture.
She thought it was rubbish but actually it captured it just as I remembered it.
I did do a wee bit of Snapseedery on it, I confess. Just to get the original 70s Kodachrome look.
