Water under the Bridge

Another night of torrential rain, another text saying the golf course was flooded, another golf-free morning at home watching the (less than torrential but just as annoying) rain. And Storm Ciarán is on her way. Ho hum.
The Water of Leith seems to be handling it all pretty well though, even if it does resemble a river of mud.
Wednesday night is still ‘find a new pub night’ and this time we headed to the Earl of Marchmont as we start to roam further afield from The Pleasance. Decent beer selection, although both cask taps were off, and good nachos but the pub itself needs a bit of tlc - which it may well get because the new owner introduced himself. We’ll maybe head back some time to check.
Skipped the Hearts match tonight but it must have been a frustrating time for the fans with the all too common lack of goals. Happily our wee Costa Rican popped up with his first goal for the club, a timely late winner. The manager’s coat-peg is slightly less shoogly.
