The calm before the next storm

A bright and breezy day until late afternoon so quite useable for some preparations against  very strong winds  due overnight. In many cases it was sufficient to reduce the height of shrubs which will be pruned back later this month anyway. Some stakes were re-positioned on others and new fastenings applied. This newly opened flower on the Fremontedendron caught my eye as it basked in some rays of sunshine, so another bright spot accidentally discovered.
