Yesterday
Was bright and sunny - a perfect autumn day - today wild, wet and windy.
The main image, taken yesterday is of a witchy looking elm at RSPB Loch of Strathbeg.
The reserve was loud with the noise of the hundreds of Whooper Swans and dozens of Pink Footed Geese which were on the Loch. Aloof and stalking in the reeds away from the swans and geese was a pristine Great White Egret. In the distance in the extra are some of the herd of Konik ponies whose role is to control the growth of reeds around the Loch.
