Three little owls

Today's the day ............................ for a walk in the Woollen Woods

We paid a long-promised visit to Acorn Bank, a National Trust property near Penrith, on our way north to Edinburgh today.

There's a lovely walk through the grounds to the working Flour Mill that takes you through the Woollen Woods on the way. This is part of the Eden Arts CANOPY project that consists of hundreds of woodland themed woollen artworks displayed in the trees and woodland across the Eden district throughout 2013.

The Woollen Woods project aims to encourage people to try wool craft, raise awareness of the Campaign for Wool, as well as encouraging them to get outdoors in the beautiful Eden landscape.

And you couldn't help smiling at this trio of little owls .......................!
