Dumfries - old school

Away to the south west today for lots of things tomorrow - Back to Back Dumfries and Guid Nychburris.

Arrived early enough to finally check out The Old School - which is, as you'd think, an old school building. Behind this door is a tearoom, art shop & classes, fitness classes, dance, drama & salons. The tearoom, NonaLou's, is very good indeed and, with the other creative businesses, seem to have transformed this building into something rather special.

Oh - and I don't visit for a month & the Dumfries Starbucks is open?! Seems as packed as the Costa (and whatever other businesses are open after 5pm!). Looking forward to seeing some cultural town centre regeneration tomorrow. And probably some drookit bands, riders, attendants & audiences - expect they'll try to keep the Queen of the South dry.
