Today my chore was to wrap honey jars in cellophane and then the rest was up to me. I asked if I could use tags to write To: and From: on, and my boss thought that a good idea. When I'd wrapped 15 jars and written on the same number of tags I thought the front of the tags looked empty. So I started doodling some leaves in different colours on the 5 we'll sell now during what's left of autumn. The other 10 I first thought I'd just put a heart sticker on it and that'll be it, but we had no stickers that small. A coworker and I brain stormed a bit and I told her about the cute Santa stamps I have at home. She thought a pinecone would be cute and I ran with that. My first pinecone apparently looked like a bird, or a leaf... so I remade them and since they started to look like pinecones and not a dinosaur or an elephant, I went with that design and made 10. Then I thought I colour them in, but no brown pencils were available... I tried to mix colours, but it didn't tur out well. One of the bosses suggested aquarelle colours and that did the trick. Lighter brown all over and then fix the shadows with darker brown. Then I thought I'd do some splatters, since it's for Christmas gifts and I chose red. And then a green and red ribbon tied around every jar and we can tick one more thing off the 'make for Christmas' list off. It was fun.
It's been raining since I left work. I stopped to pick some more leaves and this evening I used my diecut machine to cut shapes in on some of the dried leaves (from before). That became really nice! Now time for bed. The day just rushes past you... crazy. And tomorrow it's the first of November... I'm celebrating Samhain a day late this year. Didn't have the energy to today.

I've had a hard nock on my door,, and the door bell rang once. I don't hand out any candy, so I just don't open. I think it's presumptuous to thing everyone's got candy at home just for Halloween. I think those with kids can coordinate in-between them and not bother the rest of us, and yes... I know I sound like a grumpy old lady, but I just don't like it. :D
