A day at Kew gardens
I took so many photos, I have to do a collage. I met my old friend S there, someone I’ve known for about 35 years. We had so much to talk about - families, health, allotments, life in general - that we didn’t see quite as much garden as we might have - though it was also raining on and off. We spent a long time in the fabulous Princess of Wales House, and all but the first and last pictures were taken in there.
A golden oak tree showing it’s autumn beauty
A few cacti which have tiny colourful flowers
Carnivorous pitcher plants - but so dainty and pretty
A huge pink orchid flower - there were hundreds of different orchids to be seen - apparently it’s the largest family of plants
A mimosa tree - which I would expect to blossom in spring?
A colourful winter garden, looking bright in the grey light
Afterwards I got myself to Paddington, and then back to Bristol. A bit tired, I didn’t even unpack….
