Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A sunny morning prompted us to go to the beach - we haven't been there for ages, because every time we think of going, on a nice day, it's either school holidays or the weekend, and it would be mobbed.

So off we went. Archie wasn't sick on the car on the way there. Good. He gets so excited once he realises where we are. And even MORE excited when I buy a liver muffin at the caravan! He goes bonkers for a piece of that. And so we made him run between us for a teensy bit of a reward. He really runs faster on the sand than on the grass.

After we tired him out with that, he found a tennis ball. Now, he's never very interested in tennis balls, after the first two minutes. But this time, he ran after the ball and brought it back oh, several times! In fact - many times.

It was pretty cold for us humans on the beach, and so we repaired to the cafe. It was mobbed, but there was a spare table. Dogs welcome, and they were constantly brushing up the sand that everyone brought in with the them. Coffee and carrot cake fitted the bill nicely.

On the way home through the Park, I dropped Archie and JR off to walk the rest of the way home. They're keen!!

My phone step count is working again, but only 2,777 steps today.
