Accumulation

Leaves drift on a wind driven current, accumulating in one corner of the lake, trapped by a stand of reeds. A patch of dried grass, left over from when the water level was much lower, holds them in check.

I liked the rich colours and the contrast of textures, leaves half submerged, rising and falling as ripples wash in and grasses wafting in the breeze.

I focused on the grass and let the leaves go soft, which given their movement was inevitable anyway.
