Comfort Food

The teenager came to me in tears today because of her dad. I can’t really say I told you so as whatever he’s done he is still her dad. But he’s showing his true colours to her now and it breaks my heart that it hurts her.

I have reassured her that it says more about him than it does about her. I’ve promised that I will always be there and that she needs to know that I love her unconditionally.

Tonight I have cooked her favourite food for her. We had delicious ice cream for pudding and then watched a film with sweets. She needed it tonight.
