613 day of war

Hello, friends!

Throughout this week, I've been working on orders, and although I feel very tired, I'm glad to have some work. Currently, even a few good orders per month help cover the rent for the apartment, and when it comes to food and entertainment, we've learned to manage with the absolute minimum of resources and products. After a long time with almost no orders, I'm trying to take on any work I can and do everything I can.

It's evident that our country is going through very tough times. Almost two years of war, and it's becoming increasingly clear that we're sustaining ourselves thanks to the support of other countries. It's quite shameful to witness the continued efforts to catch corrupt officials among the government ranks. When most of the country is struggling to make ends meet, some individuals continue to accept bribes and undermine the trust in the entire nation. It's challenging to wage a war when, apart from an external enemy, there's also an internal one. While people are sacrificing their last resources to make it easier for the soldiers to protect us, others are looting and enriching themselves.

I find it difficult to come to terms with the injustice in society, so such news always saddens me. One thing is clear: if things continue like this, we'll lose both the country and its people. In the news, there are more and more reports about exposed corrupt officials, and it's hard to watch this calmly. This simply shouldn't be happening in a normal society.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Mariupol visited our city and had a meeting with the residents to discuss the reconstruction of Mariupol after the occupation. I have rather pessimistic views on this matter and the mayor himself, but it seems that these discussions are helping people, and there have been many interesting proposals. It seems that we physically won't be able to return to our city because most of our homes no longer exist, and, more importantly, it will be impossible to sleep peacefully knowing that the enemy is just a few kilometers away and can strike at any moment. Also, judging by the developments on the frontlines, de-occupation is still a long way off.

Because of this, it's hard to imagine how life will proceed, as it's clear that living in a rented apartment forever is difficult, and there's no other housing. Both of us are working without days off, and we can barely gather enough money for rent each month, all while saving on everything, and there's no hope for a better future. Unfortunately, our mayor won't be able to help with this most critical problem, so we're left only waiting for a miracle.

There's less and less understanding of how the war will end and how much longer we'll have to live at this pace. It's very draining, but there's no other path to achieving peace besides addressing the root causes that make peace impossible.

Thank you all for your support, and thank you for the assistance on BuyMeACoffee. I greatly appreciate your concern!
