Impressionist

I walked across the valley to Thackley, pausing as I crossed the canal to enjoy the impressionist autumn colours. 

It was a damp and misty day. At the football that led to a wet pitch, lots of misjudged tackles and a plethora of red and yellow cards. Thackley were hosting Doncaster team Rossington Main in an NCEL Premier League fixture. They took an early lead but never really imposed themselves on the game so it was no surprise for Rossington to equalise. 1-1 it finished and Thackley stay third in the table.
