Local Hero

At first sight, you might think he was a bit of a nutter, but pretty much everyone in Sheffield who visits the city centre recognises local hero John Burkhill, the man with a pram. He started fundraising in 2007 after losing his wife to cancer, and in May this year reached one million pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I had an appointment in town, after which I went to the AGM of our local Natural History Society, of we our Fungus Group is a part.
