Glimpses of Paleochora

It’s a National holiday in Crete today to remember the day that the Greeks refused to surrender to the fascists and fight. Our lovely taverna proprietor explained this to us with a shake of her head as she said how little we have learned. We were in the middle of our journey heading south to a little coastal village called Paleochora. And we’ve arrived and it looks splendid - much more lively than I anticipated. Thedonkey shaped rock seemed fitting for Silly Saturday and I couldn’t resist a couple of seascape shots.
