Salisbury Cathedral...
A simple title, speaking for itself.
The East transept, toward the altar, taken from the exact spot where the mass of the Spire is directly overhead, took some time and patience.
Tripods are not allowed and I literally was in a sea of Asian tourists with a wave of glowing ipads and mobile phones. This view literally jumps out at you as one you just have to capture and it mesmerises all that see it. There must have been fifty+ people, many excited teenagers ruffling around me here, which hardly encourages calm and patience.
Though not an HDR, the original, taken with the new Tamron SP 17-50mm f2.8 lens, had almost black shadows in the foreground, so many layers of shadow extraction in Photoshop to eke them out.
I would say that this one is essential to go LARGE
To my surprise, yesterday's swirly sculpture got into the Spotlight, thanks to all - it's appreciated.
