Crazy Pill's Last Stand

Loki has been on medication for the last 3 years to help with his separation anxiety and general anxiety. While it has most definitely helped (we can leave him alone now for long periods of time, woo hoo!!), it also kept him doped up enough that he tends to sleep excessively, his appetite was less than stellar (diet change helped this, a little too much!), and playing became much more rare. Finally, after all this time, we got the okay from his behaviorist to start weening him off. Today was the last time (hopefully!) I ever have to give him one of his 'crazy pills' :) A chore we both loathed - as I never found a treat he didn't find a way of removing the pill from and spitting it out. He is such a good boy though, despite how unpleasant it is to have to take it, any time he'd hear a pill bottle rattle, he'd come running and sit in front of me. Of course, I give him nummies afterward, which helped ;) Here's hoping Loki can stay off the pills and continue being his much more mischievous self (he's been taking a page out of Corra's book lately and stealing food when no one is looking!)
