GET TO THE CHOPPA!

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Caro flew up to Tauranga yesterday. Feefs and Craig are going to a wedding so she will be pet-sitting for a couple of day then spending the rest of the week hanging with her mum.

And like an 80's teenager, my first thought was PAR-TAY.

More importantly a HALLOWEEN party. With costumes and a movie and Kat projected onto the wall, reacting to the movie.

"I don't like horror films," said Briar.
"Same," said Olivia.

My plans. Scuppered at the first hurdle.

Also, Olivia is SUPER-ALLERGIC to cats. I encouraged her to take all the antihistamine and not die.

Fortunately, Kat came through. Earlier this month she watched "Predator" which is barely a horror movie.

"That's not even a horror movie!" protested Jefe.

FFS.

Nevertheless, the plan came together. I vacuumed and vacuumed and TRIPLE-VACUUMED the house for Olivia. I lured Jefe in with a quiz, Manda made burgers and I made them spooky by adding eyes and teeth. The quiz was a success. Olivia and Briar headed up Team Not Scary At All and Jefe and Manda led Team Very Scary.

Team Very Scary had the obvious advantage, so I altered things in Team Not Scary At All's favour by including references to Taylor Swift lyrics.

Team Not Scary At All just squeaked in there. The power of Tay-Tay.

Everyone seemed to enjoy "Predator" and happily played Kat-phrase bingo and we drank a lot of whisky.

All in all, it was a successful Not Scary At All Halloween party.

And my carpet is so CLEAN.

S.
