Feed The Birds
Sundays when Mrs S is on a night shift are strange days, we have the morning together then Mrs S goes off to get some sleep. We have a hot drink together when she gets up but all too soon she is off and gone.
So we spent the morning together in the garden cutting back the vine, ivy and other climbers and filling our new garden waste bin. One bin full later and you could already see a difference, the plan is to work slowly over what’s left of October and then November to get everything cleared and clean, ready for spring.
Part of the weekly routine is to fill or top up the bird feeders, I particularly like this one. It’s attached outside the lounge window, seagull proof, it allows me to see the smaller birds although Paddy sitting on the chair in the window looking at them often means they dart in and out.
Lone eating in the evening has been a bit hit & miss previously but I now make more of an effort. Home prepared and cooked as well as sat at the dining room table has replaced grab ‘n’ go.
