Patchy sunshine (Day 3091)
A ridiculously early start to the day so my beautiful wife could catch the boat south to do a couple of days of hoss stuff.
After wandering Sigyn and getting myself organised at home I had time to kill before heading off to look at a job in Stromness. On the face of it, the job the customer wanted done was fairly simple - just changing a load of radiator valves. When I looked at the job though it became a lot more complicated and it looks like the customer will be getting a whole new heating system. It is a job that will wait until next year sometime.
Next on the list was a visit to the horses to put out hay and round up Jeeps for an appointment with the chiropractor. George came along to the sheds to keep Jeeps company, and while I waited for the chiropractor to arrive, I snapped a pic of the view.
With George and Jeeps back in their field, I zoomed home and got Sigyn out a wander before a very late lunch.
Another trip to Stromness to check on the herd again and to fiddle with the quad again. The choke cable had broken and the quad wouldn't start. I thought a new cable would sort it, but after a horrible job changing the cable, it still won't start. It was getting too cold and dark to try much more, so I gave up for the day. I have in mind something to try tomorrow.
