Rainography
A bit of rainography for the main photo, thanks to the rain and the upper deck of the 26 bus.
I’ve had an excellent day in Glasgow at a meeting bringing together a number of third sector organisations with the common aim to get more women into elected office.
For hundreds of years only men were elected (by other men). Over 100 years ago some women were granted the right to vote and be elected, and yet the UK Parliament still has only 35% women (the highest percentage in the Westminster Parliament ever). The Scottish Parliament is a bit better at 45%, but women make up 51% of the population.
We know that when more women serve in elected office, they create policies and laws that benefit a greater cross section of society.
A couple of extras for a bit of fun.
