Habitat of Fungi

A rare glimpse of the sun for a couple of hours this afternoon, but with so much heavy rain I chose a walk on paved surfaces to avoid the mud. I chanced upon this enormous collection of Fungi, which I think are growing on the site of a long removed Beech tree and caused me later to look up the collective noun for such a gathering, only to find there are 4 alternatives. Given the choice I think Habitat best describes the large area affected.
