Documenting The Documenting.
I'll explain later
.....And so.
Sandra was out and about today interviewing barmen from a couple of bars in the city about their thoughts on Bacardi Anejo rum. So she asked me along to film the interviws.
This is an interview with the manager of a typical cantina in the Insurgentes part of the city. In a catina, even though you may have (as here) over 100 dishes to choose from, you don't pay for your food.
Keep drinking and you can eat all day. Go for the good stuff and you can eat steak & grilled sea-food. Even though it was only 6 or so in the evening, the place was rammed and the atmosphere loud and jocular. Live, tawdry, cabaret-esque music and garishly be-hatted waiters also adding to the festive ambience.
The kind of place to lose a day in!
However, we were gone after a couple of hours as we had another interview to do, but not before sampling their potatoe tacos (delicious), which came along with the sneaky beer I had while recording Sandra's chat!
