The girls

Dave had to be up early as usual on a Thursday and went off via Granton, but I followed rapidly having an assignation with a car club car - managed to get into the thing but then the app locked me out (of the system, not of the car) so I had to ring them up. Now they've dispensed with the swipe card type entry, everything depends on the phone......makes me uneasy. Although not as uncomfortable as an unexpected heated car seat makes me feel!

My old (in both senses) friend Pauline is up on a brief visit to one granddaughter (who's at Edinburgh Uni), accompanied by another granddaughter. She's had a new knee fitted since I last saw her, but her walking is still very limited, by her dreadful lungs.. But the only way she was going to get to see Dave was by taking a trip out to Inchcolm, so I conveyed them down to Hawes Pier and we got the Belle out to the island (just the one sailing today). We toured the abbey apart from the belltower which we left to the girls to ascend.

Dropped them off in the West End and returned to Leith - oh, they changed the locks on our building today, lucky I took the new key with me!
