"Cuts leave Scars"

So what's the best way to celebrate your 55th Birthday?? That's right, head into Edinburgh and join a protest with your Fire Brigade buddy's about the lack of funding given to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

We've seen a number of fire appliances withdrawn from service and whilst no redundancies have happened, a good number of jobs have disappeared after retirements.

Will it make any difference?? Only time will tell, but whilst I'm still employed with the SFRS, I'll do what I can to try and preserve a service that hopefully, you'll never need to call upon, but if you did, you'll know that you will be getting the best when the troops arrive!!
