Into the woods

Mike and I took the opportunity of Matthew and his cousin being occupied playing Minecraft together and headed off for a walk in the woods. We were amused by this stile, left behind when the fence has gone.

In the afternoon we did get the boys out of the house, along with grandad and two of his model plabes: a rubber band powered balsa Tiger Moth, and a Power-Up powered Bluetooth controlled paper plane. We had lots of fun with both. Particularly when Matthew managed to fly the powered plane up above the poplars where it got out of range, flew on over a building site and disappeared towards the ground in some more trees on the other side.

By a minor miracle, some Bluetooth tracking, and BT revving the engine to listen for it the plane was recovered, in a nearby garden, between a tree and the building site fence! Phew.
