Ladybird

My work can be stressful and enjoyable at the same time. Today was one of those days. I was counting the hours to get home and get behind the camera.

I struck lucky today. It has been a week of heavy rain and today was no exception. In between a dry spell off into the garden I went. Perfect photo opportunity.

This beauty of a ladybird or ladybug as some people call them caught my eye. I love the raindrops on the body of the ladybird which was crawling across a flower.

I was shocked to see this beauty as this is the first ladybird I have seen this year.
