Birthday!

Got the train up to Dundee for Dad's birthday as L was very busy for work and it was something of a last minute thing as he and K had planned to be away but their trip was cancelled because of a problem with the hotel. Went to The Ship for a meal - the food seemed to take a while to arrive but it was up to the usual standard when it did. And then briefly back to the house for cake and presents. This is Dad with his birthday mug from my sister et al. L and I got him Judi Dench's brand new book about playing Shakespeare. He's a big fan of Dame Judi, ever since seeing her play Ophelia on stage in London, right at the start of her career.  And public transport there and back worked out pretty well, after recent less perfect journeys.
