My Very Random Pics

Rosemount Square, Aberdeen

Rosemount Square, very near to where I live. A post WW1 building, T.B. Huxley designed decorations above the two arches into the main square (which looks more like a circle!). He designed them to represent the Spirit of the Winds and the Spirit of the Rain. He also did one to represent the Spirit of the Cold but due to insufficient finances, the latter was never completed.

Here we have Aeolos, Spirit of the Winds - the girl with the flapper hairdo and she is riding across the archway on Leadside Road! I look up at it every day on my way home. Lovely!
