A Day In The Life

Silly

It’s comical watching gray squirrels hop about the yard with a peanut hanging out of their mouths. They’re in search for the perfect hiding spot. If another squirrel is watching they pretend hide, then immediately depart for the real one. They most often scratch a shallow hole in the soil or grass before covering and patting it down; sometimes concealing their prize under a few leaves is all that’s needed • They never hide food in their nests because it attracts predators • I transplanted a perennial and cut back the milkweed today. We experienced our first frost of the season this morning, about two weeks later than normal • Hope you’re enjoying your Tuesday :)
