Hound Dog

Meet Ken - my friend Stuart’s new dog. He’s a retired greyhound, originally from Ireland, and he’s been resident for almost three weeks now. As you can see, he’s made himself at home, though there is a new “closed door” policy in place in the house, following a couple of “incidents”. Like all greyhounds, he is as soft as anything and though he doesn’t race any more, Stu is definitely getting his steps in each day, taking him for walks.
Cute though he is, I’m not tempted to get another dog myself - going for walks in the rain was no fun seven years ago (when we last had a dog) and the passing of time has not mellowed my feelings on the subject one iota.
I spent the afternoon trying to refine the tone on my bass amp. I want to use my short scale bass at the next gig and its more powerful pickup means I need to tweak a few settings to maintain the clear sound I like. I’ve ended up with a tone that sounded good at living room volume. Let’s hope it sounds equally good at gig volumes!
