Not an ugly duckling.

It has been a bad few year’s for the swans on my local loch, all of the cygnets died last year and this year they didn’t make it out of the egg as one of the parent’s died during incubation.
The pair of swans at Mugdock have fared much better thankfully. A couple of weeks ago they still had six cygnets with them, this morning I only saw three but the others may have been hidden or possibly moved on to join a winter non-breeding flock.
This little one was very curious and keen to see if I had brought any food, I had not so I apologised and moved on.
