Good fortune...

Having completed the conservatory decoration a new piece of furniture would set it off grand. A cupboard dresser sort of thing. New - hundreds of pounds. A dog walking pal suggested a huge charity shop in Falkirk. Found the very dab, perfect colour match, solid oak, right size, all for buttons. Needs a little work but nothing serious. Looks like it has lived here for years, well chuffed especially as it fitted easily in the car. I'll likely blip it when fully restored.

Called in to Grangemouth town centre on an errand. My goodness it seemed even more grim than usual. Lots of vacant or abandoned shops. Shame, I am old enough to remember when it was quite a vibrant wee centre (they built a huge supermarket which sucked the life out the town.)
