Daingead*

This mossy tree caught my eye this morning when I helping at one of the community gardens along with FP  - although if truth be told we spent as much time chatting to each other and people passing than we did gardening. Still a good start to week.

I then had my haircut  and was pleased to get another appointment before the C-time - I thought I might have left it too late.

Later this afternoon I headed down to the Dell and had a short swim.  It was cold - the water temp was apparently down to 7 or 8 degrees.  Brr.  I am definitely feeling the benefit of my Dryrobe and other accessories.

Trains and buses are all up and running but we now have more roadworks on A9 to contend with.   A new gas pipe is being fitted alongside it which means that at Dunkeld successive sections north bound will be closed and so traffic lights are in place to manage traffic flow along the single south track.  This has resulted in people taking ridiculous amounts of time to get from Perth to Pitlochry - over 2 hours in some cases and not  helped by  closures of minor routes due to last weeks flooding which would normally offer an alternative way through nor the increased volume of traffic due to Enchanted Forest. The works are scheduled to go until early next year. It will be "interesting" to see how next few days pan out.  Daingead !

Daingead appears in the latest conversation I am studying for An Cursa Inntrigidh. It is the equivalent of darn it (as far as I can tell) and seems appropriate :-)
