Sunday walk ...
... in the park.
Today was nicer (at least drier anyway) than yesterday so this afternoon we went to Housenick Memorial Park for a rather lovely walk. We did the longer loop today going down to the bird blind and beyond.
On the way back we spotted some tiny birds in some of the shrubbery. This Ruby-crowned Kinglet is quite small and adorable! He/she was foraging in the shrub and at times would go up to grab something ... almost hovering like a hummingbird. Fascinating to watch. Adult males will flash a brilliant red crown when excited ... which we didn't see on this one.
We spent the rest of the day at home. I made pizza and salad for supper and then baked brownies (sugar free!) later on in the evening.
Backblipped: October 23 ... also backblipped starting with a newsworthy evening.
