Caerketton Craigs and the T-Wood

A lovely day after Storm Babet. A wee daunder around the park revealed that yesterday, some time after the afternoon walk around the park, part of an ash tree had fallen. I wasn't aware that it was particularly breezy. Generally the trees in the birch wood swirl in the wind, but they are flexible enough to ride out storms.

In the afternoon, it was apparent just how low the sun in the sky is. On the walk up to Swanston, my photo of the Caerketton Craigs is affected by sun glare. While the sun is low, it picks out the rolling contours of Allermuir Hill very nicely. And the T-Wood, also picture, is now only getting sunlight for a few hours. In a few weeks, the sun will actually set behind the hills as I walk towards Swanston, and rise again, temporarily, as I walk home. While it lasts, it is nice in the sunlight. The highland coos, one of which is picture in the Extra, were certainly enjoying the sun.
