Well the scratched white macbook never returned from its umpteenth repair. And this metal beasty turned up in its place yesterday.

Hats off to the people at apple - they know how to recover a situation - even 3 years and 2 months after the first buy they've replaced the machine with a brand new model only released a week ago. Nice folk (although I suppose that having $25bn in the bank helps a bit too in these situations).

So finally I can back blip then...
