King Arthur’s Round Table

I’d seen someone start digging last weekend and wondered. Today, when I drove past and saw much more extensive work has been done, curiosity got the better of me and I stopped to ask what was going on. A chap from the local archeology group explained that they were following up earlier digs and investigating if there had been a palisade of wooden posts. We got chatting more generally and discussing the many layers and significances of this area, most of which we barely understand.

Went on for a walk on Barton which felt like hard work. A lovely afternoon, weather wise.
