Flooded

A beautiful day, so we went for a walk in the forest at Brandon - a place we know well, with forest growing on sand & flint, i.e. quick draining. No floods, not even a puddle underfoot - this flooded earthball seemed to be the only sign of heavy rain, apart from some erosion of the sand on exposed paths. There were plenty of other fungi, but they were often in deep shade so I didn't stop to try to take them, just admired them from a distance. The extra was, however, out in full sunlight!
